Abstract:A neural network controller for vehicle stability control was developed based on the virtual reality platform. The virtual reality platform was constructed with real vehicle, virtual ground, vehicle dynamics model etc. The neural network approximate model was used to identify vehicle dynamics system and the self-tuning controller was obtained by rearrangement of the neural network object model. The controller was designed to generate additional yaw moment and make the yaw rate tracking the desired trajectory. Vehicle response and its interactions with drivers were investigated and virtual simulations of a vehicle under human avoidance maneuver were conducted on the virtual reality platform. The simulated results showed that the vehicle stability controller could improve vehicle handling and stability significantly.

Abstract:The vertical stiffness, frequency and damp characteristic of air spring all have direct influence on the performance of vibration isolation. Two dynamical models of air spring with (and
without) auxiliary chamber were established respectively based on the theory of engineering thermodynamics. The mathematical expressions of stiffness and frequency were deduced and main factors of determining air spring characteristics were analyzed subsequently. The results of this study showed that air spring has apparent nonlinear characteristic. The frequency keeps constant approximately whereas load of air spring supporting is changed largely. Working pressure, change rate of effective area, working volume, working conditions and diameter of the throttle hole are the
main influencing factors on the performance of air spring.

Abstract:Based on magnetic force transmission principle, a type of the permanent magnet clutch was proposed. The coupling or separating of the clutch was realized by changing the relative position of the parts for the variation of the radical magnetic field strength. The magnetic field and performances of the permanent magnet clutch in coupling state, and the variation of the transmitted torque and axial force in coupling or separating process, were calculated with finite element method, respectively. Finally, the feasibility of the design and influences of the main design parameters on the performance were analyzed, and a prototype of the permanent magnet clutch was manufactured for testing.

Abstract:The change and reason of surface hardness were investigated for vehicle components, which include the front axle without surface strengthened process and the transmission gear with surface strengthened process, after strengthening under low amplitude load. The experimental results show that the variation is almost direct ratio to strength and hardness of the front axle after strengthening under low-amplitude loads, but it is inverse ratio for the transmission gear. The main reason of surface hardness variation of vehicle components is that the micro-structure is strengthened and improved. For the surface hardness variation of vehicle components, the strengthening and fatigue damage exhibit the same effect.

Abstract:Biogas is made from many kinds of agricultural and forestry residues by a gasifier. It may be used as the main fuel of the biogas diesel dual-fuel engine ignited by diesel fuel. The dual-fuel
engine was rebuilt by a single cylinder, four-stroke, water cooled and direct injection diesel engine. The biogas was induced to the cylinder through intake tube of the engine during intake process. The combustion noise of the biogas diesel dual-fuel engine was calculated and analyzed based on the measured cylinder pressure. The combustion noise of the biogas diesel dual-fuel engine is lower than diesel engine except at low speed and high load. The combustion noise of biogas diesel dual-fuel engine increases with the increasing of load and fuel supply advance angle and decreases with the increasing of speed.

Abstract:HCCI engine is prone to have a knock at high loads limiting its power output. In order to control its knock at high loads, a CO2 apparatus was installed to verify the feasibility of ingesting CO2 into the intake to appease engine knock on an engine bench. HCCI combustion tests were conducted on the fourth cylinder of a modified 4-cylinder diesel engine. The experimental results indicated that under steady engine speed of 1400 r/min and fixed fueling rate, high volume fraction of CO2 can decrease the peak values of HCCI combustion cylinder pressures and heat release rates gradually, increase causing combustion duration, ease engine knock and enlarge the operating range at high loads effectively. However, the probability of engine misfire increases with the increase of the volume fraction. For the tradeoff of knock and misfire, the volume fraction of CO2 should be about 1%.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the control principle of engine rotary speed, the control of engine throttle by a stepper motor was investigated. The discrete mathematical model optimized by neural
network PID control was established. The simulation of the engine throttle control was carried out by the LabVIEW software. The simulated results showed that the excess of the system was 0.018 and the output error of the stable state was nearly zero. The control method of engine throttle has good dynamic response and robustness.

Abstract:Experiments on sequential turbocharging system used on D6114 diesel engine were investigated. The brake specific fuel consumption and smoke emission of diesel engine were measured in four schemes: with the original turbocharger, with a small turbocharger, with a big turbocharger, with both small and big turbochargers. Then, a new turbocharging method named big and small turbo sequential turbocharging system was put forward by analyzing and comparing the experimental results. When the engine works at low speeds, only the small turbocharger works. Then, at the medium and high speed operation, both the big and the small turbochargers work in parallel. The experimental results showed that the brake specific fuel consumption was reduced about 30g/(kW·h) and the maximum decreased value of smoke emission was approximately 22% in low engine speed range. It was proved that the sequential turbocharging system can improve the performances of the vehicle diesel engine evidently.

Abstract:Sprinkler nozzle range is affected by many factors which interact with each other and are complex multi-variable and non-linearity systems. The artificial neural network can describe the indefinite multi-input and multi-output features of non-linearity model effectively. However, the training of artificial neural network is a complex problem by conventional back-propagation (BP) optimal algorithm, which has intrinsic weakness in slow convergence and local minimization. A prediction model for the sprinkler nozzle range was developed using Levengerg-Marquardt optimal algorithm, and the nonlinear model among the sprinkler nozzle diameter, nozzle elevation and working pressure was established. Subsequently, the relationships of nozzle range and its influence factors were simulated by Matlab. The results showed that L-M optimal algorithm is more effective and accurate than BP optimal algorithm, and it can be applied for prediction of sprinkler range.

Abstract:In order to enhance irrigation level, a long-range micro fluidic sprinkler was designed by adopting wall-attachment offset jet theory. The relation between rotating driving force and size of
fluidic component was analyzed, and calculation formulas of two kinds of driving forces were obtained. According to the fastest rotating speed and largest range, the best geometrical size was achieved by orthogonal methodology. Hydraulic performance of the micro sprinkler was tested, and the test results were coincident with the orthogonal test results. The water distribution of the micro fluidic sprinkler is uniform, and its long range and small water drop size can meet the design requirements.

Abstract:Backward crank-rocker transplanting mechanism used in walking-type rice transplanter vibrates seriously when operating. A new transplanting mechanism for walking-type rice transplanter was designed, and it worked steadily and vibrated slightly. Firstly, the work principle and structural feature of the mechanism were analyzed and the kinematic model of the mechanism was established. Secondly, the software of mechanism aided analysis and parameters optimization
was developed and the structural parameters were optimized to satisfy the work requirement of walking-type rice transplanter. Lastly, its kinematic characteristics were tested by high speed digital video camera and image processing technique.

Abstract:The process of threshing of paddy and motion manner of threshed kernels by the assembled of plank-tooth and helical vanes of axial flow threshing and separating installation was photographed on line by the high-speed photography. By observing and analyzing the reproduction of the pictures of photographed the kernels were separated from the branch with stripping, impacting, compacting, colliding by the threshing units and rubbing of the material. The rice panicle was in ring form during the threshing period and the kernels scattered from center about the ring. The paddy came into being the thin layer rapidly, rotated and surged ahead under the joint action of the threshing parts and the guide blades as they entered the threshing space. The paddy layer was compressed instantly as it subjected stripping and rubbing and was thrown away assuming a fluffy state soon after. It made the threshed kernels ave the chance to separate from the fluffy stalk layer.

Abstract:The pressure of hydraulic cylinder, driving the infinite variable speed assemble of threshing cylinder, was used to indicate threshing cylinder load, and the function between the pressure and threshing cylinder torque was concluded by analyzing the force of the infinite variable speed belt pulley in the threshing cylinder. The relation between threshing cylinder load and feed rate was analyzed and the dynamic model of threshing cylinder was built. Based on that, the threshing cylinder load PID-control system was set up and simulated in Matlab. The simulation results proved the effectiveness and practicability of this control system.

Abstract:A combinatorial model was established to forecast the total power of agricultural machinery in Shanxi province. Applying the Shapley value method of cooperative game, the weight of each forecast model in the combinatorial forecast model, was determined by distributing the total combinatorial error. The results showed that the forecast average error of combinatorial forecast model is 1.81, which is lower than 3.12, 2.42 and 2.23 of one-variable liner regression model, cubic exponent smooth model and BP neural network model, and is also lower than 1.88 and 1.90 of the combinatorial forecast model based on the variance reciprocal method and the divergence coefficient method.

Abstract:Using gas catalytic infrared heater, the experiment was performed under three kinds of thicknesses 5, 9, 13 mm apple slices and three kinds of infrared intensities 3, 4, 5 kW/m2. The
experimental results showed that the dry-blanching and dehydration processes of apple slice could be completed in one step using the catalytic infrared technology. Owing to the penetration and
selectivity of the infrared heating, the catalytic infrared technology has shorter blanching time and higher energy efficiency comparing with those steam and hot water blanching methods. The energy efficiency of this method is above 40%, which is higher than that 3%-8% of the traditional methods.

Abstract:Biodiesel, a renewable alternative bio-fuel, can be made from fatty acid and methanol in transesterification. The biodiesel was obtained from sunflower seed oil in autoclave by supercritical
methanol method. Analyzed by GC-MS, the main components of the biodiesel are fatty acid methyl esters, which are listed as follow by the peak sequence: palmitic acid methyl ester, linoleic acid methyl ester, oleic acid methyl ester, stearic acid methyl ester, linolenic acid methyl ester. The optimal reaction conditions were studied by four factors and three levels orthogonal design, which
are listed as follow by the intensity of influence factor from high to low: reaction temperature is 340°C, reaction pressure is 15 MPa, molar ratio of methanol to sunflower seed oil is 42, and reaction time is 20 min.

Abstract:For improving the yield of pomegranate seed oil, an extraction technology using ultrasound and organic solvent method for pomegranate seed oil was proposed. On the basis of single-factor experiments, the optimal extraction conditions were studied with the orthogonal experiments. The experimental results showed that the pomegranate seed oil yield is 23.84% on the optimal extracting conditions, which are liquid-solid ratio 12 mL/g, ultrasonic power 225 W, ultrasonic treatment time 15 min and ultrasonic treatment temperature 50°C.

Abstract:Technology for ultrasound-assisted extraction of xanthophylls from corn gluten meal was investigated. Response surface methodology was employed to analyze the effect of ultrasonic time, preliminary temperature and the ratio of liquid to solid on the xanthophylls yield. The optimal technologic parameters for ultrasound-assisted extraction were: ultrasonic time 11 min, primary temperature 25.4°C, and the ratio of liquid to solid 6.4 mL/g. Under the optimization conditions, xanthophylls yield rate was 67.90 μg/g, which was consistent with the predicted value by RSM. Comparing with the traditional extraction methods, the ultrasound-assisted extraction slortened extraction time and the yield rate was increased significatly (p less than or equal 0.05).

Abstract:Adopting 1.398 Bacillus subtilis neutral proteinase to hydrolyze concentrated sunflower proteins and degrade the proteins molecules, changes of protein sub-unite were analyzed by the method of electrophoresis, and the functional properties of enzymolyzed sunflower proteins and concentrated sunflower proteins with different hydrolytic degrees were studied systematically. The
experimental results showed that the functional properties of enzymolyzed sunflower proteins with hydrolytic degree results showed that the functional properties of enzymolyzed sunflower proteins
with hydrolytic degree of 6.5%, such as solubility, oil absorption property and emulsibility, were improved. Water retention property, frothiness and foam stability of concentrated sunflower proteins were better than that of the hydrolysis of sunflower proteins. Compared with the reference mode of NAS (1980) and FAO (1973), other amino acids had an excellent balance except lysine.

Abstract:Sugar content is an important quality attribute. The feasibility of using hyperspectral imaging for nondestructive detection of sugar content of navel orange was investigated. The spectrum features wavelength for predicting the navel orange's sugar content of the navel orange was obtained via the scatting spectral imaging. Subsquently artificial neural network system was used for developing a prediction model to predict the sugar content of navel orange. Finally, the prediction results were obtained for sugar content with the correlation coefficient of prediction of R=0.831. The results showed that hyperspectral imaging is an effective method for nondestructive assessing the sugar content of navel orange.

Abstract:Considering the correlation between morphological structure and physiological function of plant when building up its developmental model, the simulation model of virtual plant can be founded, and the visualization model of plant morphogenesis can also be established using graphic technology. Finally, the virtual plant system was developed based on model coupling. Abstract:In order to speed up the construction of agricultural information system, a method of automatic acquiring agricultural information from thematic maps was presented. The color feature and morphological feature of symbols were extracted using computer vision and image distance transformation. In this system, the symbol template library was built according to legend firstly, and then the symbols were extracted from the thematic map. Finally, the attribute of symbols were automatic acquired by the in-distance error of symbol skeleton. The experimental results showed that the extraction accuracy and recognition accuracy of point symbols achieved 97% and 93%, and of linear symbols and area symbols achieved 99%.

By the correlation analysis and R-cluster analysis of the soil moisture content data, it was found out that the soil moisture contents at different depths have high linear correlation and the correlation coefficient increases with the shortening of the distance between layers. The soil moisture contents at 8 different depths were sorted by R type hierarchical clustering method, subsequently. The results showed that it was reasonable that soil moisture sensors were embed into 10, 20 and 50 cm for monitoring the soil moisture content of depths 0-100 cm.

Abstract:A optimized BP neural network model and a quadratic regression model were developed respectively by conducting a quadratic orthogonal test to evaluate soil specific heat at different soil temperatures and water contents. The results of the quadratic regression model showed the linear functions of soil temperature and water content have impact on soil specific heat in a highly marked level and their square in a significant level. The residual square sum and standard deviation was 0. 0261 and 0. 0511 respectively for the quadratic regression. The optimized BP neural network model had good learning ability and the results were converged after about 346 training iterations. Moreover, the BP neural network model could achieve good agreement between predicted and measured values. The prediction precision was higher for the optimized BP neural network model than that for the quadratic regression model. The results showed that the optimized BP neural network model can be used to forecast the soil specific heat because of its fast calculation rate and convenient operation.

Abstract:The field information influencing crop growth are collected and described quickly and effectively, which is the important basis to develop fine agricultural practice. With the developing of modern information technology, the field information collecting technology is developing and improving rapidly. According to several kinds of the field information collecting key technologies, including the GPS positioning technology, the advanced sensing technology, the multi-sensor information fusion technology, the wireless communication technology and so on, the research situation of their applications to the field position information, the soil attribute information, the crop growth information, environment information and crop yield information was discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of the above collecting technologies were pointed out respectively. Finally, the research direction of the field information collecting technology in the future is put forward, which is developing the low-cost, multi-channel, high-precision and quick-positioning dynamic field information digital intelligent measuring equipment with various advanced technologies.

Abstract:To solving the localization of typical Job-Shop scheduling problem, an optimization model, which has flexible Job-Shop scheduling problem and takes the time, cost and quality as the
optimization objectives, was proposed. The calculating method of optimization objectives was given, a hybrid particle swarm optimization was designed and the detail process of realization with
this algorithm was presented. In the optimization model, a quantitative approach is used to the quality related objectives via the process capacity index, and the method of comprehensive evaluation linear weighted model is proposed to solve the problem of choosing weights in flexible Job-Shop scheduling algorithm and make the decision-maker choose the preferred solution of optimization objectives according to the facts. Finally, the validity of the scheduling structure and algorithm was verified by a case of Job-Shop scheduling.

Abstract:A method of approximate reliability calculation was introduced based on evidence reasoning. F was defined as an event of structure failure. The belief measure of F(Bel(F)) and the
plausibility measure of F(pl(F)) were calculated using evidence theory. [Bel(F), pl(F)] was used as the interval estimation of failure probability. The distributing domains of n random variables in performance function of engineering structure were respectively split into k intervals. The average of Bel(F) and pl(F) could be considered as the approximate estimation of failure probability. A numerical algorithm for realizing the introduced method was investigated and its calculation steps were presented. The key influencing factors on the evaluation precision and calculation efficiency were illuminated subsequently. The greater the k is, the more precise the calculated failure probability is, and the calculation efficiency decreases with the increasing of k and n. Finally, a program for realizing this algorithm was developed and two examples were presented to demonstrate the validity of the introduced method.

Abstract:With the Newton and quasi-Newton methods, only one solution of the nonlinear equations set is found and sometimes no solution is found when the iteration diverges. Combining mathematical programming method with hyper-chaotic system, a hyper-chaotic mathematical programming method was proposed to obtain locate initial points and find all real solutions of the nonlinear equations set based on utilizing hyper-chaotic discrete system. The numerical example in 6 _ SPS parallel robot mechanism synthesis showed that all solutions could quickly obtain, and the correctness and validity of the proposed method was proved.

Abstract:A method was proposed to express a planar linkage structure by multi-branch tree data. The analysis-program of mechanism position is regarded as the function of nodes calculation. An
ordered set of kinematic numerical analysis program of planar linkage mechanism is built by postorder-traversal operation of the tree. It can realize automatic kinematic analysis of the mechanism by calling the set orderly. This method avoids the discernment of Assur groups and motion-routes creation. The new trees can be derived conveniently by crossing the nodes of two known trees or mutating the nodes of a known tree. Accordingly, it provides a convenient method for configuration creative design and kinematic analysis of a planar linkage. Finally, the kinematic analysis demonstration proved that the method was effective.

Abstract:A four-bar flexure hinge mechanism was analyzed with pseudo-rigid-body model method. Abstract:A method of workspace resolution and dimensional synthesis on Delta parallel mechanisms was presented. The resolution expression of the single-open-chain sub-space boundary surface and the reachable workspace of the Delta parallel mechanism were obtained based on curve envelope theory. Then the maximal inscribed spheroid contained in workspace was educed, and the relationship between its position and the dimensions was established. Taking the spheroid as the design space and using the universal average value of Jacobian matrices condition number in design space as mechanism performance index for dimensional synthesis, the optimal dimensions

Abstract:According to the structural theory of parallel robot mechanism, a 3-DOF translational parallel mechanism with 3-PUU joint structure was investigated by the single-opened-chain unit approach. Firstly, the structural characteristics analysis for the parallel mechanism was elaborated, including mobility analysis, motion output analysis and structure complexity analysis. The forward and inverse kinematics resolutions were obtained respectively. Secondly, the virtual prototype was built through Mechanical/Pro with Pro/E and ADAMS. Finally, the simulations on kinematics and dynamic performance were carried out in ADAMS. The simulated results showed that the design parallel mechanical vibration platform is feasible.

Abstract:In order to verify the design scheme and theoretical model of the parallel machine tool (PMT), reduce the period of the PMT development, and enhance the ratio of its successful design, the virtual prototype technology was applied to the course of the PMT design and development. The virtual prototype of this PMT was established via the mechanical design software SolidWorks. NC machining, visual verification of tool path and changing cutter and rough automatically in simulation-system were realized by applying OLE technology, and the dynamic analysis and simulation were achieved by the multi-body system simulation software MSC. ADAMS. The computer simulation results show that the theoretical model is correct and the design structure is credible.

Abstract:In order to solve the problem that the general cutter-location post-processing system can not generate the NC instruction for hybrid machine tools, we developed a post-processing system for the structure of hybrid machine tools. Firstly, the cutter location data of part was created by using UG/CAM software. And then the position and control for orientation data of cutter was transformed to the control instruction for the actuated axis by post-processing, which includes quadratic interpolation, the inverse kinematics equations of position and orientation, spatial tool
radius compensation and interference detection. Finally, the position and orientation of the cutter in machining was realized. The computer simulation results of a 3-D free surface machining
indicated that the post-processing method is correct and efficient.

Abstract:In order to obtain a counter-rotating reducer with high speed, closed epicyclic gear train composed by fixed-shaft and differential gear drives was proposed. This planetary gear train can
transform one input into two outputs with co-axial counter-rotation. It has some advantages, such as compact structure, high transmission efficiency, and so on. On the basis of the analysis method of the power flow in differential gearing, the characters of power flow of this counter-rotation drive was determined. After comparing with the power distribution of input flow, the condition of this gear train without circulation power was investigated. Reasonable design of actuators for this train can realize dual outputs with equal torque and speeds.

Abstract:Involute rack-cutter with unsymmetric teeth and double pressure angles was designed. The geometric parameters of rack-cutter profile were proposed as well as total tooth profile equations for the unsymmetric gear and the formulas for tooth thickness at any diameters. Then the characteristics of the teeth tip were investigated. The second transition curve equations for the unsymmetric gear were established and four types of transition curves of tooth root were compared. Furthermore, the coordinates transition matrix for conjugate tooth profile and rotation matrix
for tooth surface in local coordinates system of unsymmetric gear were given respectively. By developing relevant programs, the teeth profile of unsymmetric gear and symmetric gear were simulated. Finally, two types of gears were manufactured by wire electrical discharge machining.

Abstract:Theory and technique of surface corrections of spiral bevel and hypoid gears were investigated. Firstly, Equations of error surface were derived and solved by coordinate measuring of tooth surface. Error surface was fitted by the tooth surface, which takes machine settings as design parameters. Equations of surface corrections were derived and the correction values of machine settings could be solved from the equations. And then, the functions between correspond orders of error surface and machine settings were constructed combining the equations of error surface and surface corrections. Finally, the correction effect of equations of gears manufactured by single side method and double side method is investigated via a numerical example.

Abstract:Aiming at reducing the weight of automobile, a study was performed to redesign the inner door panel of an existing automobile using tailor-welded blank (TWB) structure. The lightweight governing equations of strength, dent resistance and crashworthiness were established to assist in the lightweight design as the constraints. The design reduced the weight of the automotive inner door panel by about 11. 9%. Simulation results of side impact showed that the inner door panel with TWB structure performed better than that of the original design in crashworthiness, which confirmed the feasibility of this lightweight design.

Abstract:To provide a theoretical basis for producing ultra-fine grained steel and find out the effect of micro alloying element and deformation condition on deformation enhanced ferrite transformation in vanadium-alloyed steel, a deformation enhanced ferrite transformation (DEFT) thermal simulation test on vanadium-alloyed steel was carried out. The effect of V, Nb on DEFT was analyzed as two aspects: V, Nb solutionized in steel confine DEFT; on the other hand, V(C, N) and V_Nb(C, N) are induced precipitation by multiple-pass deforming, which provides nucleating center to intragranular ferrite (IGF), meanwhile, V(C, N) and V-Nb(C, N) pinned substructure to make them steady, and simultaneity the substructure transforms to ultra-fine ferrite. The experimental results showed that the interval between multiple-pass deforming is shorter and the temperature is lower, then the accumulated deformation is larger, the DEFT is easier and the volume fraction of ultra-fine ferrite is greater.

Abstract:At the basis of the lifting wavelet packet transform (WPT), a method was proposed for extracting ball bearing local defect feature. The lifting WPT was implemented by using the approximation signal obtained from the lifting scheme for further decomposition. In order to extract ball bearing defect feature efficiently, the proposed method decomposed vibration signal to a proper level by adopting a selected basis, then a wavelet packet frequency-band possessing the most energy on this decomposition level was taken as the optimum packet. Furthermore, the decomposition signal of the optimum packet was applied to extract the defect characteristic frequency via the envelop analysis approach. The proposed method was evaluated by employing simulated and experimental signals. Good and faulty ball bearings were tested and analyzed by experiment, respectively. The results proved that the method presents ideal performance, which provides an automatic monitoring and diagnostic way for ball bearing.

Abstract:Based on the HSRI tire model, a simplified nonlinear tire force estimation method suitable for real-time computation was put forward. A dynamic model of 2-DOF-4-wheel vehicle was deduced based on the estimation method, and a vehicle lateral velocity observer was established using the extended Kalman filter. The simulated results of the vehicle dynamics simulation platform showed that the accuracy was improved greatly using the simplified nonlinear tire force estimation method compared with the linear one. Finally, the accuracy and efficiency of this observer was proved by a vehicle test, and it could meet the requirements of dynamics stability
control.
