Abstract:  Extraction of polysaccharide from Inonotus obliquus by way of applying high intensity pulsed electric fields (PEF) was studied. Through single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiment, the effect of PEF on polysaccharide extraction rate(ER) was discussed, and the comparison of alkali extraction method (TAEM), microwave-assist extraction method (MAEM) and ultrasonic-assist extraction method (UAEM) has been done. A set of optimal parameters (PEF strength=30 kV/cm, pulse number=6, pH=10, liquid/solid ratio=25 mL/g) were tested and analyzed, at which the ER could be up to 49.8%, 1.67 times of that by using TAEM, 1.12 times of MAEM, and the purity of polysaccharide was 1.40 times of UAEM. The experiments proved that PEF technique is an effective way to extract polysaccharide from the Inonotus obliquus, with higher extraction rate, shorter time (12 μs), and less impurities.

Abstract:  The influence of drying parameters of freeze-drying on quality of pteridium aquilinum drying was investigated, and the impact of drying board temperature, drying chamber pressure and material thickness on Vc content was studied by nonlinear regressional orthogonal design. Using single-and-double-factor analysis method, the relation between experimental criteria and drying parameters was established, and the influence order of the parameters was determined. Experimental results showed that drying chamber pressure had the greatest influence than drying board temperature and material thickness. The optimal combination of the preserved quality parameters for the freeze-drying technology of pteridium aquilinum was obtained through optimized theory in nonlinear method. They were as follows: the pressure of drying chamber was 55 Pa, the temperature of the board was 42.5°C, and material thickness was 16.3 mm. Vc mass ratio is 2.387 mg/g.

Abstract:  An experimental method based on controlled mixture ratio of different enzymes in order to improve the emulsifying properties of soybean protein isolate was proposed. The model between the emulsifying properties of partial hydrolysis soybean protein and mixture ratio with aspergillus oryzae proteinase, papain and trypsin was established. The result of enzymes proportion was that aspergillus oryzae protease was 11.79%, papain was 32.93%, trypsin was 55.28%. The optimum hydrolysis condition was obtained by adding 3% of the multiple enzymes/substrate mass ratio to soybean protein isolate by way of dissolving at 9% in water and incubating 3 h. at 40°C for pH7.5. The emulsifying capacity of hydrolyzing soybean protein with composite enzymes was increased up to 50.86% compared to the control sample.

Abstract:  An image algorithm to determine all the orientation lines of the targets in a crop image was proposed. The color image was converted into a gray image. The crops were separated from the backgrounds by Kmeans clustering. The orientation areas and orientation points were obtained by analyzing each horizon scan line in the binary image. The clustering function was defined according to the abscissa of orientation points on the two next horizon scan lines. The orientation lines were correctly detected by a passing a known point Hough transform. Test results showed that the algorithm was capable in accurately detecting different orientation lines. The algorithm required 0.12 s to determine all the orientation lines for a 640 × 480 pixel color image.

Abstract:  For accurately isolating the overlapping spots in crop disease images, an improved watershed algorithm named marker-reconstruction watershed algorithm was presented. Firstly, the binary spots image was transformed to distance image by multi-scale distance transform operator and makers (seed) were detected by using ultimate erosion. Then, geodesic SKIZ (i.e., watershed division lines) has been obtained by geodesic reconstruction operator constrained by marking seed image. Finally, the watershed division lines were subtracted from the original binary image. Applying the proposed method in cotton disease images, the experimental results indicated that the method could validly and effectively separate overlapping spots in the image, moreover, preferably protect the spots edge. This method is insensitive to noise and tiny outlier of the image.

Abstract:  Combining the feature of bilateral hydraulic servo control systems, based on the analysis of force telepresence techniques presently used in a construction robot system, a position-force architecture was formed by using a new controller which used a force sensor and a hydraulic motor controlled by an electro hydraulic servo valve to constitute a hydraulic force controller. This replaced the traditional pp architecture widely used in the construction robot system. The experimental results indicated that the new design improved the transparency of the teleoperation of construction telerobot system with force telepresence.

Abstract:  Reflection lines and highlight lines are effective tools in assessing the quality of a surface. An efficient NURBS surface local fairing method was presented based on quality detection lines (reflection lines or highlight lines) of the patch. First, the fair patch has been created in the local irregular area of the NURBS surface, and the part of original surface quality detection lines which has been in the patch area was replaced by the patch. The modified surface quality detection lines and the boundary conditions of original surface irregular area were utilized to build linear equations for surface local fairing. After the displacements of control points involved in the surface irregular area were computed, the displacements were smoothed according to the extent of the control points impact on the surface irregular area. Finally, the validity of this algorithm was verified by an example.

Abstract:  A method to express the flexible cam curve with continuous jerk by using quintic NURBS curve was presented. Then the cam curve could be optimized by adjusting knot vector, control points and weight factors of NURBS curve. The multiobjective optimization for a cam curve was described to satisfy both kinetic and dynamic requirements. To solve the optimization model for NURBS cam curve, a hybrid genetic algorithm combining elitism strategy, selection strategy based on goal attainment method and fast non-dominated sorting algorithm was proposed. The optimization example illustrated that the presented hybrid genetic algorithm could solve multiobjective optimization problem and achieve cam curve with good synthetic performances.

Abstract:  Aimed at ultrasonic signal compression and detection of the flaw echo of aluminum alloy forge in the presence of high scattering microstructure noise, the adaptive stein unbiased risk estimation (SURE) compression method based on the new thresholding function was presented, and the flaw model under ultrasonic signal has been built. The new estimated wavelet coefficients were deduced by using the new thresholding function, as the original wavelet coefficients decomposed from signal inputted. The new estimated signal was rebuilt by using the new estimated wavelet coefficients. An iterative process of the thresholds, which depend on the minimum mean square error (MMSE), was implemented to decide the termination of signal rebuilt. The experiment results indicated that the adaptive compression method has better de-noising and compressing performance and improved the SNR ability for flaw echo detection.

Abstract:  The performance of differential grating displacement sensor is determined by its mechanism parameters. And the mechanism parameter choice follows specific rules in the process of its design. A set of parameter design rules of differential grating displacement sensor was summarized based on systematic mathematical calculation. It included resolution rule, precision rule, amplitude rule, and waveform rule. These rules could undoubtedly help to optimize resolution, precision, amplitude and waveform of this kind of sensor, and could further help to avoid aimless sensor design and those design consequence of bad waveform, poor amplitude, or even no signal output. And this research method could be used as the references by other sensor design.

Abstract:  Xylan is the major constituent of hemicellulose. Due to the structural heterogeneity of the xylans, xylan-degrading enzyme systems include several hydrolytic enzymes. Xylanase (EC 3.2.1.8, 1, 4-β Dxylanase) can hydrolyze β-1, 4glycosidic linkages of the xylan backbone to produce short chain xylooligosacchrides of various lengths. Hence, endo-β-xylanase is the crucial enzyme component of microbial xylanolytic enzyme systems. A large number of bacteria and fungi are known to produce xylanases. Xylanases from microorganisms have attracted a great deal of attention in recent years because of their biotechnological potential application in various industrial processes such as food and feed industries. An important factor for efficient xylanase production is the choice of an appropriate inducing substrate, as well as optimization of the medium composition. Properties of xylanases are different due to various microorganisms. The highlights complex xylan structure, microbial xylanolytic enzymes including their production, properties and their application in industries was reviewed.

Abstract:  Using non-thermal plasma devices and reactor based on dielectric barrier discharge principles, simulation experiment and bench test were carried out. Experimental result indicated that non-thermal plasma produced by dielectric barrier discharge could decompose particulate matter in diesel exhaust effectively, and correlative chemical reaction mainly took place in the channels of micro discharge, decomposition rate of particulate matter increased with the energy density. The non-thermal plasma reactor could transform NO in the exhaust to NO2, but could not reduce the total amount of nitric oxides. Decomposition and conversion rate of HC and NO in diesel exhaust when treated with non-thermal plasma descend along with the quantity of particulate matter in the exhaust.

Abstract:  The machine oil enter the combustion chamber and combust caused by cylinder liner non-uniform distortion is an important factor which makes the diesel engine PM worsen. The 493-diesel was taken as an object to study. It was found in the study that the temperature around cylinder liners has been improved by the configure optimum of water jacket in order to reduce the cylinder liner distortion and PM emission. And validity of reducing PM by uniform the cylinder liner distortion has been verified. The test results proved that this method could reduce PM emission in-cylinder when the PM emission could not be reduced by using other in-cylinder cleaning ways.

Abstract:  The working procession of engine retarder was discussed. With a diesel engine as an example, the mathematical model of compression release engine retarder was created. The influence of release valve working parameters on the braking performance was analyzed by the method of numerical simulation. The simulation results showed that there was a crank angle before the top dead center to one engine speed specified to get the maximum brake power, this angle was bigger when the engine speed was higher; and the higher release valve lift or the faster release valve velocity was, the more brake power could be gotten.

Abstract:  A precise PSPICE model for the driving circuit of solenoid valve for electrically controlled diesel engine was created. Based on abundant analyses of the simulation results on the condition of different parameters, a driving circuit module of solenoid valve was designed. By applying the methods of high and low side driving, high and low driving voltage, and the feedback control of driving current, this module could fully realize the requirements for solenoid valve. At the same time, the fault detecting and diagnosing circuit for solenoid valve was designed. A self-protecting circuit for ECU at the time of solenoid valve winding circuit short was also realized. The tests showed that the ECU for EUP (electronic unit pump) diesel engine and high pressure common rail diesel engine, which applied this module, could achieve the current driving requirement of solenoid valve.

Abstract:  The vision-guided AGV acquires images of road through machine vision and the navigation parameters are gotten by processing these images. In order to recognize the road robustly and quickly, some image-processing methods such as filtering, image segmenting were presented. Additionally, some measures were taken to keep the recognition in real time. A PID controller has been designed to control the motors in order to achieve the line-tracking according to the parameters. The simulation and experimental results showed that the road could be recognized even under certain disturbances and the AGV could track the road accurately and reliably.

Abstract:  New type of switched reluctance motor was applied to electric vehicle. Considering the electromotor as vibration source, stimulation of electromotor was analyzed in particular orientation. Expressions of radial force and torque variance were obtained by analytical method. During the course of system analysis of electric vehicle and SR electromotor, both radial force of SR electromotor and torque variance were considered. It was concluded that there are direct relationships between amplitude and initial phase in vertical orientation by numerical analysis. There are maximum and minimum of amplitude, and the way to ensure them was proposed. New reliable foundation was put forward to solve vibration problems of design and control of SR electromotor.

Abstract:  Full states (i.e. slip angle and yaw rate) feedback control strategy was researched and feedback coefficients of slip angle and yaw rate were acquired according to the concepts of virtual front tire cornering stiffness coefficient. Slip angle was estimated with Kalman filter. Effects of virtual front tire cornering stiffness coefficient changing coefficient on poles and frequency characteristics have been researched. Simulations showed that virtual front tire cornering stiffness coefficient changing coefficients could be chosen based on velocities to change steering characteristics: positive coefficient at low velocities leading to oversteer and steering agile; while negative coefficient at high velocities leading to understeer and steering stable. So presented control strategy improved handling and stabilities.

Abstract:  According to the theory of vehicle braking stability control and the related dynamic vehicle model, the theoretical analysis of vehicle braking condition on bisectional roads with large difference between road adhesion coefficients of two sides of the road was made. From the analysis result, by means of active steering technique to control vehicle stability when braking in emergency and restoring vehicle to correct lane quickly after braking deflection driven by the way of steering control, the ideas were put forward. Based on the theoretical analysis and combined with fuzzy control strategy and method, fuzzy controller has been devised to carry out simulation experiment. The result showed that vehicle braking stability fuzzy control strategy suggested could reduce vehicle yaw angular velocity and lateral acceleration when braking, restore vehicle to correct lane quickly after braking deflection drive, and the research is of significance to improve vehicle driving safety.

Abstract:  The simple dynamic model of the shift process of automatic transmission was built. The torque phase and the inertial phase of the shift process were analyzed with the model. In the torque phase, the accurate timing to switch from release clutch to the apply clutch has been controlled, which reduced the disturbance and avoided the interrupt of the torque. In the inertial phase, the pressure increasing on the apply clutch has been controlled smoothly through the real time-closed loop modulation of pulse-width modulated valve, which improved the shift quality of the automatic transmission. The recorded test data was analyzed, and the theory of shift quality improving has been proved rightly and practically.

Abstract:  The statistical distribution of random variables is absolutely necessary in many engineering practices, such as reliability analysis, fatigue life test. When building a statistical model, in general, a hypothesis was proposed based on statistical data of samples and experience of the engineer, who took the responsibility. Therefore the hypothesis of the statistical model would be influenced by the opinion of the engineer. Based on maximum entropy concept, statistical model of complicated random variables was presented, and a parameter estimation method of the distribution function was also proposed. Maximum entropy statistical models were used to describe service loads of engine and clutch of a light truck, and rotating speed. The result showed that this model is feasible and valid.

Abstract:  According to the problem of lacking suitable planter for permanent raised bed (PRB) in one crop a year oasis agricultural region of northwest China, a 2BFML5 no-till planter for PRB was designed, the parameters of key components for opener, reshaping plough etc. were analyzed and decided. By means of adopting sharp-angle opener, the new planter could cut stubble and break clod, what was more, 5 cm of vertical depth difference between seeder and fertilizer could be achieved easily. The reshaping plough could not only cover seeder row effectively, but also reshape the old bed perfectly. The planter could finish stubble cutting, ditching and fertilizing, seeding, covering, compacting and reshaping bed in one pass. Experimental results showed that under straw cover of 3682 kg/hm2, the planter, which was effective in entering the soil, anti-blocking and increasing emergence rate by 6.25% and yield by 2.7% respectively, could meet the developing requirement of PRB in northwest China.

Abstract:  In order to solve the problems of sampling technology in spraying, a new measurement method of using micrograph combining with digital image processing technology for spraying deposition parameters analysis and sample in airtight space was given. With this method, the parameters of spraying deposition in entire spraying field could be analyzed, such as spraying coverage, droplets density, spraying uniformity and etc. During the experiment, it was found that with the increasing distance, droplet spraying coverage rose firstly and then declined, but the droplets density was of the opposite trend. The spraying coverage and droplets density would not change at the height of 0.4-0.8 m on the ground. It is feasible to describe the droplets deposition in the spraying field by using the spraying coverage, droplets density and spraying uniformity.

Abstract:  An idea of spatial vibrating screen was presented to meet the different needs in screening crops, and its main body has been designed. A kind of four degrees-of-freedom parallel mechanism has been used by the screen as the main body. It could adjust the amplitude and the vibration direction of the vibrating screen conveniently. This parallel mechanism included four legs, where two legs were types of R-R-P, the others were R-R-R-R-P. The moving platform of this mechanism, used as a screen platform, could achieve a movement in two durations and a rotation around two directional axes. The kinematics modeling method of this mechanism was studied by using conversion matrix, and the kinematics positive and inverse solutions of this mechanism were presented. The result indicated that this mechanism could be applied in the vibrating screen.

Abstract:  A device for producing pulsating flow named vane-type pulsation generator was designed and experimentally studied. The experimental results demonstrated that pulsation generator, which produced pulsation effects on steady flow could obtain pulsating flow by means of on-and-off periodical flow interrupter. The pulsation effects for this type of pulsating flow generator had little reduction and could transfer along the channel. Pulsation amplitude changing with pulsation frequency was observed. It could impact on the flow velocity to induce pulsation generator to the experimental system. The relationship between pulsation frequency and flow velocity was non-linear.

Abstract:  In order to study three-dimensional unsteady flow inside HL240 rotor under design condition, sliding mesh was applied to investigate rotor/stator interaction influence. Coupled flow through guide vane, runner, and draft tube was simulated by using Fluent software, NS equations, standard k-ε turbulence model and SIMPLEC method. Computational result agreed well with practice. The pressure fluctuation near the runner blade surface, periodic pressure variation inside flow passage, and back-flow in draft tube were revealed through unsteady flow analysis.

Abstract:  The calculated equations of complete fluidic sprinkler and impact sprinkler were submitted. Their parameters were contrasted by experiments. The experimental results demonstrated that the angle and frequency of complete fluidic sprinkler was mainly depended on the pipe length. The more lengthen of the pipe was,the bigger angle and the lower frequency would be and the smaller the angle and frequency of impact sprinkler range would be. So the complete fluidic sprinkler is more superiority. At the same time the relationship of pipe length and angle of step-by-step operation was brought forward. Empirical equations of pressure difference and pipe length and working pressure were put forward for the first time.

Abstract:  Based on the inverse design theory of pump impeller, a computer code was made in Fortran language to design the guide vane of high specific speed mixed-flow pump, with streamline iteration method to calculate the meridional velocity distribution, point-by-point integration method to draw the vane shape, conformal mapping method to thicken the vane and smooth the leading edge and trailing edge of the vane. In addition, the effects of the vane angle distribution and the position of vane outlet edge on the designed vane shape were discussed. This computer code could obviously increase the efficiency of design work and the accuracy of calculating results. And the data of the vane surface was complete, which is convenient for vane manufacturing by numerical control machine.
