To make sure the excitation of a step track can be used for boom sprayer system identification and characteristics estimation, a method was established to extract the front-tires-excited spray boom response form the spray boom response of front and rear tires were excited by step truck. The determination coefficient between measured and predicted model value of spray boom response was 0.9551.The front-tires-excited spray boom response can be used for characteristics analysis of spray boom motion.
