    Abstract:

The charging experiments were performed with different voltages, different distances between the electrode ring center and the spraying nozzle, different electrode curvature radius and different electrode numbers, so the relationship between the charging and atomizing characteristics of droplets and those influencing factors was discovered. The results demonstrated that the droplets number median diameter decreased with the increase of the electrode voltage and distance between the electrode ring center and the spraying nozzle, and with the smaller of electrode curvature radius. The droplets diffusing ratio decreased with the increase of the voltage. The RD of uncharged droplet is 0.662, and the droplets diameter and diameter distribution are rather big. When the voltage increased to 20 kV, the RD value decreased to 0.813, the droplets number distribution curve and the droplets volume distribution curve were almost similar, and the droplets diameter and diameter distribution were smaller, the distribution uniformity of droplets was much better. 
