    Abstract:

Using CFD to simulate I.C.E combustion process has become an important tool in I.C.E research. Choosing appreciate combustion model serves as major prerequisites for the successful analysis and optimization in I.C.E. The combustion models were built according to the combustion modes of premixed, non-premixed and auto-ignition. The new combustion systems of I.C.E promoted the development of combustion model. Based on the STARCD and FIRE software, the development and the application status of turbulence controlled EBU model, a laminar and turbulent characteristic-time model, CFM series models, Weller model, turbulent flame speed closure combustion model, PDF model and shell model were mainly discussed.
