    Abstract:

    Three mesh strategies were applied in the numerical simulation research of the external flow field around a sedan. Computational meshes were solved by commercial CFD software, STAR-CD. Mesh strategies effects were compared and their features were summarized according to the different computational processes and results. Both the rotating and stationary wheels boundary conditions were considered and computational results were compared with available experimental data. The accuracy of the high Reynolds k-ε turbulence model was discussed
