Based on the analysis of the limitations of the traditional Taguchi's squared quality loss function, a section curve quality loss function model was extended by the section function theory. The concepts of the limit character，non-symmetry character and non-loss question in quality loss were correlated into the model, for the characteristics of the new model and the advantages over the traditional, test example of Taguchi showed that this method has practical character and tallies with engineering actual situation.
