    Abstract:

    The influence of guide vanes on tubular pumping station performance in dual-directional operation was studied, based on the Reynolds time-averaged N-S equations and the Realizable k-εturbulent flow model, applying the law-of-the-wall and sliding mesh technique. The influence of front guide vanes, back guide vanes, dual guide vanes and no guide vanes on tubular pumping station performance in dual-directional operation was discussed, and compared with curved guide vanes. The data obtained allowed us to analyze the main phenomena existed in the pumping station.
