The appearance quality of flue-cured tobacco leafs of 14 main planted varieties in Yunnan Dali were analyzed by using the two-step cluster method. Based on the result, the appearance quality of flue-cured tobacco leafs were less affected by vary zoology spots and different varieties. The 100 samples of flue-cured tobacco leafs were divided into 3 clusters. This method defines the important characteristics in a cluster and the classification among types. The conclusion is objective, reasonable and reliable, coincided with the field performance of appearance quality of flue-cured tobacco leafs.
